NTK INNER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
The clutch assembly in a two-wheeler is essential for controlling power flow from the engine to the wheels. It allows riders to smoothly engage and disengage the engine from the drivetrain, facilitating gear shifts without damaging the transmission. In essence, the clutch enables gear changes, starts, and stops without stalling the engine.
Following the successful launch of our Clutch Plates, NITERRA INDIA PVT. LTD. is excited to introduce ADC-12 alloy based Inner Clutch Assemblies for 2-wheeler motorcycles under the NTK brand, delivering high-quality products for enhanced vehicle performance. Offering the widest range, these assemblies ensure optimal performance and smooth gear shifts, improving the overall driving experience.

Key Components of an Inner Clutch Assembly:
- Clutch Plates – There are two types of clutch plates:
- Friction Plate: Friction plates are flat disc parts of the clutch system to help grip steel plates firmly. These plates are placed in alternate positions with steel plates. They are also known as drive plates.
- Steel Plates: These are also flat discs that transmit rotational force from the engine to the transmission. They are smooth and metallic discs of high-quality, durable steel, also known as driven plates.
- Clutch / Compression Springs – The clutch springs provide the necessary force to keep the clutch plates pressed together when the clutch lever is released, allowing the bike to transfer power from the engine to the wheels.
- Clutch Hub – The clutch hub holds the clutch plates and springs in place, enabling them to rotate freely. The design of the clutch hub is key to reducing friction and ensuring smoother operation.
- Pressure Plate – The pressure plate is responsible for applying force to the clutch plates to engage or disengage them, depending on whether the rider pulls in the clutch lever or not.
Features | Advantages | Benefits |

SYMPTOMS OF A FAULTY INNER CLUTCH ASSEMBLY
The clutch assembly experiences a lot of wear and tear, especially in bikes that see regular use. Proper maintenance is essential for smooth gear shifts, so it is always advised to check & replace the clutch assembly in case your vehicle shows the below symptoms.
- Excessive throttling/ acceleration.
- Excessive fuel consumption.
- Unusual noise and vibrations.
- Slipping of clutch or kick gets free.
- Hard to shift gears.
- Burning smell, etc.
